Sized at 23" x 35" (58.42 cm x 88.90 cm) Prominent Sire Lines in America No.5 is the most current of the Prominent Sire Lines in America series. Prominent Sire Lines in America No. 5 is published by Prominent Sire Lines, LLC, and is the fifth edition of the comprehensive Thoroughbred genealogy poster which displays the prominent male lineage of the American Thoroughbred in an easy to follow copyrighted concentric circular format. Encompassing more than 300 years of American breeding history trace all the prominent American sires back to the genesis of the modern Thoroughbred beginning with Byerley Turk, Godolphin Arabian and The Darley Arabian. It also includes multiple young current prominent sires such as Bolt d'Oro and Good Magic as well as recent Triple Crown winners American Pharoah and Justify.
A total of 196 of the prior 777 names included in the prior edition have since been removed. Yet, Prominent Sire Lines in America No.5 now consists of 838 total names-- 61 more than our prior edition. With a total of 257 new contemporary as well as historic names included in this newest edition, this marks the most significant makeover of any prior update of this iconic Thoroughbred breeding reference piece. Additionally, given the European influence of modern American breeding, we have added additional and deserving historical European representation to our newest edition. We have also included all thirteen U.S. Triple Crown winners and every Kentucky Derby winner going back to 1960 as a reference point for their respective sire lines. In addition, so as to include sufficient reference to their respective sire lines, we have included the three female victors of the Kentucky Derby, as well as a handful of some of America’s most accomplished racing filly’s, mares and geldings, denoted in italics, as further reference to their respective sire lines. The new edition also provides the respective country of breeding origin of all horses included in this newest edition.
